Grade scale source: CBSE grade scale — A1 91–100 (10 points), A2 81–90 (9), B1 71–80 (8), B2 61–70 (7), C1 51–60 (6), C2 41–50 (5), D 33–40 (4), E below 33 (fail), as set out in How it works below · Last reviewed: 8 November 2026
How it works
Each subject percentage is matched to the CBSE grade scale. A1 is 91 to 100 and worth 10 grade points, A2 is 81 to 90 and worth 9, B1 is 71 to 80 and worth 8, B2 is 61 to 70 and worth 7, C1 is 51 to 60 and worth 6, C2 is 41 to 50 and worth 5, D is 33 to 40 and worth 4, and E is below 33, which is a fail. The overall result is based on the average of the percentages you enter, with the same scale applied to the average and the average grade point shown alongside it. For example, 88% is grade A2 with 9 grade points.
